Is it normal to experience extreme menstrual cramps if you have an iron deficiency? - iron deficiency, whippet

My mother has iron deficiency and if in the extreme period cramps and the pain is so severe that she is crying and can not walk, and almost never cries, you can take too much. I wonder if this is normal?
